RPSC AE, formally the Assistant Engineer Combined Competitive Examination, is conducted by the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) for Assistant Engineer posts in Rajasthan Government departments. It is an officer-level engineering recruitment for eligible graduate engineers.
The current reference cycle is RPSC Assistant Engineer Combined Competitive Examination 2024. RPSC AE Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualification

Eligibility is post-wise
Candidates must read the official advertisement and applicable corrigenda before applying. A pursuing / final-year degree should not be treated as automatically eligible without checking the qualification date in the notification.
2. Age Limit
For the RPSC Assistant Engineer Combined Competitive Examination, 2024, the candidate must be at least 21 years old and not more than 40 years old as on 1 January 2025.

3. Nationality
The candidate must be an Indian citizen or belong to another category eligible under the applicable Rajasthan service rules. Subjects of Nepal or Bhutan, eligible Tibetan refugees and specified persons of Indian origin may be considered subject to an eligibility certificate from the competent Government authority.
4. Hindi and Rajasthan Culture
Working knowledge of Hindi written in the Devanagari script and knowledge of Rajasthani culture are required.
5. Medical Examination
Candidates may be required to appear before a Medical Board and satisfy the medical-fitness requirements prescribed by the appointing authority.
5. Personality and Character
At the Personality and Viva-Voce stage, RPSC considers the candidate’s character, personality, articulation, physique and knowledge of Rajasthan culture.

Preliminary Examination
• Objective-type screening examination.
• Two papers of 200 marks each.
• Preliminary marks are not included in the final merit list.

Important Eligibility Requirement
Candidates require at least 35% marks in each compulsory paper and 40% marks in aggregate in the Main Examination to be considered for the Personality and Viva-Voce stage, as per the published scheme.
